Individual Therapy in Saint John, Fredericton and Across New Brunswick Virtually
Individual therapy is a personal opportunity to receive support and experience growth. We work with clients one-on-one in a safe, caring, and confidential environment, both in-person in Fredericton or Saint John, and virtually across New Brunswick.
Therapy allows individuals to explore their feelings, beliefs, and behaviours, work through challenging memories, identify aspects of their lives that they would like to change, better understand themselves and others, set personal goals, and work toward desired change and greater contentment in life.
There are many different methods of therapy, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, mindfulness, narrative therapy, somatic, polyvagal, and EMDR, just to name a few. Within all of these methods is a foundation rooted in attachment theory and neuroscience.
Our practice combines the insights of attachment theory and neuroscience, focusing on how early relationships and nervous system responses shape our well-being. This integrative approach allows us to help clients build stronger, more secure connections with themselves and others, rooted in both emotional and physiological healing.
We don’t see people as their diagnosis—we see them in the context of their environment, their life experiences and within the structures of society as a whole. What does that mean exactly? It means their behaviour makes sense when we ask questions about their life story.

How Therapy Works
The first step in connecting with a therapist in Fredericton or Saint John is to fill out this form. Based on your requirements, we’ll match you with someone we feel is best suited to help you.
Counselling sessions can be conducted in-person or virtually, whichever you prefer. Sessions typically run 50 minutes long. How often you attend sessions is discussed collaboratively and is based on your needs and schedule. Generally, many people see significant improvement in 8-12 sessions, and some after as little as 3 sessions.
You are always in control of your therapy, working at your own pace, and can choose the frequency and length to best suit your needs.
How much does therapy cost?
Sessions with a registered social worker (RSW) or licensed counselling therapists (LCT) are $140 for 50 minutes.
Is therapy covered by insurance?
Our counselling fees are not covered by Medicare but are covered by many extended health insurance plans.
Our clinic has therapists who are either registered social workers (RSW) or Licensed Counselling Therapists (LCT).
You must check your specific plan for what you have coverage for, as coverage is different for each policy. Verify that your plan covers counselling/therapy with a MSW, RSW or LCT. Your insurance may state you have coverage for clinical counsellor or psychotherapist, which would cover LCT or social worker.
We also offer direct billing with many different insurance companies, which allows you to keep more money in your pocket. We can direct bill Blue Cross, Veterans Affairs (VAC), Canadian Armed Forces (CAF), Canada Life, Claim Secure, Chamber of Commerce, Work Safe, NIHB, Department of Social Development, and more provided your plan is set up for direct billing. Your are still responsible for any co-pay amounts at the time of service.
