About Me
I'm Margot and my focus is on working with adolescents and individuals to navigate the challenges that make life difficult. I approach my work with a trauma-informed and collaborative mindset, respecting the wisdom each client brings. Through empathy, curiosity, and connection, I believe we can uncover pathways to hope and agency.
Before entering the field of counselling, I spent 15 years teaching college English and writing, bringing a unique perspective to my therapeutic work.
My Approach
In my counselling practice, I adopt a trauma-informed, collaborative approach. I prioritize uncovering negative beliefs, developing self-compassion, and exploring the challenges of setting boundaries. With an eclectic style, I integrate techniques from narrative therapy, Internal Family Systems, somatics, mindfulness, and expressive arts.
Who I See
I am currently offering services to adolescents, adults and couples.
My Practice
My services cover a range of areas including trauma, addiction, interpersonal violence, betrayal, loss, grief, anxiety, life transitions, and career changes. I am dedicated to assisting individuals in unpacking and addressing the challenges they face, fostering a journey of healing and growth.
If you are seeking a counsellor who combines empathy, collaboration, and a diverse set of therapeutic techniques, I'm here to support you on your path to well-being.
