About Me
Hello, I am Kelly, a registered social worker with over 18 years of experience working with children, youth, adults, and families in a variety of settings. I have worked with non-profit organizations, foster and residential treatment homes, employment counselling, and supporting and advocating for women who are survivors of intimate partner violence and are navigating the family law system.
My Approach
With over 18 years of experience in the social services field, I have developed a non-judgmental and empathetic approach with my clients. Using a variety of modalities as well as my own professional experience, I will meet with you to discuss what has brought you to therapy, your goals for our time together, and how we can collaboratively meet those goals. By focussing on your strengths and previous successes, we will work together to get you through your current challenges and develop your skills and self-empowerment to use throughout your life.
Who I See
I work with children, youth, adolescents, and adults. I provide individual, couples, and family therapy.
My Practice
My clients and I work together to develop a treatment method that works best for them. I work from a variety of modalities including CBT, Solution-Focussed Therapy, and Attachment Theory. I use an anti-oppressive and trauma-informed approach, and my goal is to make my client feel as comfortable as possible during our time together.
I enjoy working with individuals, couples, and families who are seeking help and support with anxiety, depression, stress management, emotional difficulties, coping with significant life changes, separation and divorce, parenting/co-parenting, reconciliation, and intimate partner violence.
