About Me

Hi, I'm Taylor and I am passionate about helping individuals and couples manage and overcome challenges such as stress, fear, shame, guilt, self-doubt, loneliness and feelings of helplessness & hopelessness.

I am also the Executive Director of our partnering non-profit, Just Us Inc., an organization offering free and low-cost counselling to all. I love providing clinical supervision to the new and growing professionals in my field while continuing to provide therapy myself.

My professional journey encompasses various fields, including employment & educational services, crisis intervention, disability services, addiction & community outreach, as well as restorative justice mediation. Through these experiences, I've developed a heart for Saint John and its people. I have experience working with First Nations & Inuit Peoples/Indigenous Perspectives, individuals with diverse abilities, and those struggling with poverty and homelessness.

My Approach

I provide a relaxing, empathetic environment that is approachable and optimistic. I want you to feel seen and heard. Emotion Focused Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Somatic Trauma Therapy are my go-to’s. Most importantly, I collaborate with my clients on their goals and the best treatment method for them.

I have a Bachelor of Arts (BA Honours in Psychology) and a Master of Social Work. I understand the psychology of the mind and how mental health and trauma affects our lives. As a social worker, I have a deep understanding of how one’s upbringing, society, race, gender, disability and other factors influence our health. I want to partner with you in working towards your biological, psychological, social and spiritual health. Appointments are confidential and non-judgemental. I provide a relaxing, empathetic environment that is approachable and optimistic. You don’t have to struggle alone; I can help you realize your existing strengths and your capability to change and grow.
